*Coach Murray Update (2/10)*
Senior John Kuhn will be the Katy boys lone representative at the state tournament. John wrestles at 135 pounds and finished 4th at the Region III tournament. Armando Perez, Zac Polasek, Janian Garcia and Tanner Dickens all missed placing by one match. Great season and great careers as only Tanner Dickens returns next year. The boys team finished in 18th place.

The boys team qualified 6 for the Region tournament. They are:

The boys team finished in 3rd place, ahead of last year's district and state
champion Cinco Ranch. The boys were about 30 points out of 1st where Morton
Ranch edged Taylor by 2.5 points.

Katy boys cruise to victory
The boys followed up the girl's impressive performance with a 66-16
throttling of Waller. Winners were:

The Tiger boys wrestling team was edged out by The Woodlands Thursday
night by a score of 34-40. Coming out on top were:

The program travels to Waller on Thursday night.
*Coach Murray Update* (1/6)
The boys varsity learned a lesson in humility as they went 0-5 in
Friday's dual meet competition. Hopefully the Tigers will rebound from this
performance and get back on the right track. Standing out were Armando Perez
who finished 4-1 and Logan McMillan and Tanner Dickens who both went 3-2.

The wrestling Tigers will be back in action this Thursday at the LMC for the 1st annual North Katy Duals. Katy will battle with Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek for wrestling supremecy north of I-10. Come and check them out.
*Coach Murray Update* (12/11)
The boys started out with a disappointing loss to state ranked Austin
Westlake, 33-40. Winners for the Tigers were: Jason Mecum (forfeit), Matt
Morgan (pin), Armando Perez (decision), Zac Polasek (decision), John Kuhn
(pin), Michael Langan (pin) and Janian Garcia (decision). The boys then
exacted revenge upon Cy-Fair (who had defeated the Tigers earlier in the
year) by a score of 57-23. Winners were: Matt Morgan (pin), Armando Perez
(forfeit), Zac Polasek (decision), John Kuhn (pin), Max Gracia (pin), Ben
Carrera (pin), Brandon Clifford (pin), Janian Garcia (forfeit), Saman Mashi
(forfeit) and Tanner D ickens (pin).
The boys followed that performance up with an impressive 3rd place finish at
the KISD Invitational on Saturday. They finished ahead of all other KISD
schools and only trailed state ranked teams Austin Westlake and Allen.

state runner-up!
